What is Installments?

Introducing Installments, a new product feature that can be used with our BNPL product, offering your buyers to split payments into 2 or 3 installments payable over 60 or 90 days

Payment term selection screen showing options for installments with choices to pay in 2 or 3 payments, highlighting payment in 3 with amounts of AED 8,000 due now, and on day 30, day 60, and day 90.

How B2B Installments work

Comfi splits the invoice, not the relationship. Your buyer picks 30, 60 or 90 days at checkout; you get paid in full within 24 hours of the invoice being approved. Comfi collects from the buyer on the agreed schedule and carries the non-payment risk. There is no change to how you invoice, no new portal for your buyer to learn, and no chasing.

Invoice discounting interface showing selectable invoices, an option to upload invoice files, payment terms with pay later or installments options, and a summary section.

Who Qualifies

Comfi works with UAE-registered businesses selling to other businesses. Typically you will need a valid trade licence, at least 12 months of trading history, and buyers who are themselves registered UAE entities. Approval decisions are usually returned within 48 hours. Industries we serve most often include wholesale, construction supply, food and beverage distribution, IT services and automotive parts.

What are the benefits to the buyer?

With Comfi’s Installments feature, your buyers can enjoy greater flexibility and manage their payments in a way that suits their budget. Here's how:

Installments vs invoice discounting

Both unlock cash tied up in invoices, but they solve different problems. Installments are buyer-led: you offer your customer extended terms as a sales tool, and Comfi pays you upfront. Invoice discounting is seller-led: you advance cash against invoices already issued, with no change to your customer's terms. If your goal is to close more deals, start with installments. If it's to smooth cash flow on sales you have already made, start with invoice discounting.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about installment payments, answered

What are installment payments for B2B purchases?

Installment payments allow business buyers to split their invoice into multiple smaller payments over time instead of paying the full amount upfront. With Comfi, suppliers get paid immediately while buyers repay in flexible instalments.

How do Comfi installment payments work?

When a buyer chooses installments, Comfi pays the supplier instantly. The buyer then repays Comfi in equal monthly payments, based on the plan they select. This gives buyers more cash flow flexibility and helps suppliers close deals faster.

Why should suppliers offer installment payments?

Installments help reduce buyer hesitation, increase order value, and make it easier to convert large purchases. Suppliers also improve cash flow because Comfi pays them upfront and takes on all credit risk.

How quickly do I get paid?

Within 24 hours of invoice approval.

Does my buyer pay more for choosing installments?

Pricing is agreed upfront and shown before checkout β€” no hidden markup applied at collection.

What happens if my buyer doesn't pay?

Comfi carries the collection and the credit risk. You keep the funds you were paid.

Is there a minimum invoice size?

Comfi is built for recurring B2B trade invoices rather than one-off retail transactions. Talk to us about your typical ticket size.
